Our two first sEEG studies conducted in Grenoble are now both out in Nature Communications! The first, led by François Stockart, describes how evidence accumulation taking place in the mid-fusiform cortex serves perceptual consciousness. The second, led by Dorian Goueytes, describes how post-decisional evidence accumulation in the insula is used to form confident judgements and enables changes of mind. And there’s more to come!

We are now starting a new project called Volta, funded by an ERC Consolidator grant until 2030. Our goal is to document electrophysiological and electrochemical correlates of consciousness using stereotactic-electroencephalography. There will be open positions for PhD students and postdocs.
